Sunnyside Elementary receives Challenge Award of Merit for School Year 2021

We are so proud of our schools and the recognition they are receiving from KSDE.  The Confidence in Education Task Force administers the awards which recognizes the Kansas schools making notable progress in student achievement despite many challenges in the school population. Sunnyside Elementary has received the Challenge Award for last year’s outstanding achievement and uncommon accomplishment based on Kansas math and reading assessment.   Congratulations to Dr. Montford and his team for bringing their “A” game to the classroom each day.  Miller Elementary, Northwest Elementary, and Central Elementary were also named Challenge Award recipients. We are DCPS Proud!
