District Office

District Details

Located in Ford County, we serve approximately 7,400 students in grades PreK through 12, and employ about 1,600 faculty and staff. Our campuses are some of the finest educational institutions in the state.

 

Dodge City Public Schools has one high school, two middle schools, eight elementary schools, an alternative school, and a pre-kindergarten program for school readiness.

We offer an array of exceptional programs and services that cater to diverse student needs, fostering academic excellence, creativity, and holistic development.

Academic Programs

  • Strong core curriculum
  • Advanced Placement (AP) programs for high school students
  • Gifted programs to challenge advanced learners
  • Special Education programs to support students with special needs
  • Over 100+ Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes for grades 9-12 include: agriculture, JROTC, business, communications, energy, family & consumer science, health careers, teaching/early childhood, law enforcement services and industrial arts
  • Seniors have the opportunity to earn a professional certificate for EMT and CNA/CMA
  • Our student sports medicine and athletic trainer program is the most comprehensive program for hundreds of miles
  • Four advanced placement and three dual credit courses offered at DCHS
  • A partnership with DC3 offering dual-enrollment courses
  • Diplomas & Degrees, a collaborative program with DC3, empowers students to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree at the same time
  • The Youth Entrepreneurs Program, partnered with Koch Industries, provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to start their own business

Extracurricular Activities

  • Visual and performing arts programs, such as band, choir, orchestra, and theater
