The staff at First Stop welcomes you and your family to visit our enrollment center. USD 443 offers a new approach to enrollment. Listed below are answers to questions most commonly asked.
What is First Stop?
First Stop is the enrollment center for Dodge City Public Schools. It simplifies the process of enrolling children into school. First Stop will process and complete all forms necessary for your child to attend school as soon as possible, grades K-12.
All students, grades K-12 who are new to USD 443 must register at First Stop Enrollment Center. Students grades K-5 choose first, second, and third choice schools. Assignment will be made at the time of registration. (If space is not currently available at your school choice, students will be assigned to an available school and placed on a waiting list for your first choice school.)
What is First Stop’s Focus?
To assist all families with school age children, who are new to Dodge City, families with children entering school for the first time, and/or families wishing to transfer their child/children from one school to another within the district.
What documents do I need to bring to enroll my child?
Parents need to bring their child’s birth certificate, and current immunization record and parent/guardian ID. A social security number is not required, but if your child has one please bring it. A current physical will be required for all new enrollees under the age of 9.
A parent or legal guardian must be present. Please bring identification.
