RADARs

Approved RADARs generated through the Professional Learning Steering Committee (PLSC), in cooperation with school BLTs and content group PLCs, serve as the annual professional development plans for those schools/content groups.

RADARs submitted by individuals through the Continuous Feedback Loop (CFL) process must receive initial approval by the building principal or department head. If approved, the principal or department head will forward the form to the district Professional Development Coordinator for final approval by the Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction. Any USD 443 staff member may submit a request to attend any event with an approved RADAR. Submission of additional forms for the same event is not required. Requests to attend should be submitted to the building principal or department head under the following conditions:

  • Participants are responsible for their own registration and travel arrangements unless otherwise indicated by the building principal or department head.
  • If requesting that USD 443 pay for associated registration and travel costs, these would need to come from building funds and require approval from the building principal prior to any arrangements being made.
  • Participants should read, and agree to complete, the follow-up activities listed under the “Action-oriented” section on the RADAR form.
