Academic Goal A.1.2
Academic Goal A.1.2
Academic Goal A.1.2: increase the percentage of students at or above at or above Performance Level Descriptor (PLD) level 2 upper half or above on the annual KAP math assessments by an average of 10% or greater/year.
Action Steps
- Prek-12 Math Workgroup: during this year a committee will be formed to review the state math curriculum standards, instructional pacing, scope/sequence and to select research and evidence based High Quality Instructional Materials. The resources will be presented to the Board of Education for approval in early spring 2027 and between that time and the summer institute staff will develop the new USD 443 K-12 math curriculum, pacing and assessment guidance documents.
- Math Proficiency Screener: based on the successful feedback from the limited pilot during the 2025-26 school year the Board approved the recommendation to deploy this Tier 1 standards screener for all students in grades 3-10. The district Comprehensive Assessment Schedule as well as the annual PLC calendars for each building were established for the dates of the quarterly screeners as well as the two PLC reflection meetings immediately following each screener date. The district will track this data and assess the accuracy the predictive feature is to the actual spring 2027 math KAP assessment results.
