- Instructions:
- Use for suspected anaphylaxis (EpiPen Jr for persons weighing LESS than 66 pounds)
- Remove blue safety release by pulling straight up
- Push orange tip firmly against outer thigh and push until it clicks
- Hold for 3 seconds to deliver medication
- Call 911

- AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
- Location:
- Various locations throughout the buildings
- Instructions:
- Check responsiveness, have someone Call 911 and retrieve AED, begin CPR
- Turn on AED, expose person’s chest, apply pads
- Do not touch person while AED analyzes heart rhythm, push button if shock is advised
- Continue CPR and AED instructions until EMS arrives to take over

- Instructions:
- Have someone Call 911
- Open kit, put on gloves
- Cut clothing as needed to find wound(s)
- Severe Bleeding: place tourniquet above wound
- Pack bleeding wound with gauze, apply pressure for 3 minutes
- Moderate Bleeding: wrap compression bandage around injury
- Cover with blanket
- Monitor until EMS arrives

- Instructions:
- Insert mask into unit with twisting motion
- With one hand, place mask firmly over nose and mouth, holding chin upwards
- With other hand, push handle down to compress
- Pull handle upward with a short, swift tug
- Roll person onto side and sweep mouth to clear debris
- If the person is still having difficulty breathing, Call 911

- Instructions:
- If you suspect someone has overdosed, try to get their attention by firmly rubbing your knuckles over their chest If no response, Call 911
- Place Naloxone spray nozzle tip into nose and press plunger firmly to deliver dose
- If no response in 1-3 minutes, deliver 2nd dose
- Keep airway open by tilting their head back and turning on their side
- Monitor until EMS arrives

- Instructions:
- Remove cover and take out chair
- While standing behind the chair, hold one foot on the blue base frame
- Using both hands, pull the handle until the securing clips are locked in place
- Slide the head restraint down and unbuckle the passenger safety belt to release chair tracks, pull chair tracks toward you
- Slide the seat up until it stops and locks into place
- Help the person transfer into the chair
- Lean chair backwards with both hands on the sides of the handles
- Push the chair confidently over top stair and make sure the tracks make contact with the top 2 stairs
- Position your hands on top of handle and push toward your feet to push down the stairs, staying on the inside to easily turn on the landing
- On a flat surface, you can lower the 3rd wheel with your foot from the back so that it can be used as a temporary wheelchair.
